About Alp
Typical length of lessons span from 60-90 minutes depending on the general workflow of the lesson. I love to work with students because I can empathise with them greatly about the difficulties of classroom learning, which include feelings of being let down by teachers! Furthermore, the difficulties brought around by the pandemic has made me even more determined to provide students the education they deserve! Whether it's improving exam technique or having an increased understanding around the sciences, I aim to unlock students' full potential towards learning and make the most out of my sessions. I facilitate this by using both visual and kinaesthetic techniques, including a summary of what was taught in the final 10 minutes of the session. I also provide worksheets to be completed between sessions. I teach Chemistry up to University level as well as Biology and Physics up to IGCSE level. I have private tutored children studying chemistry up to A level standard for five years, as well as IGCSE Physics. I have recently graduated with a Master's in Organic Chemistry from Imperial College London and I'm more than happy to share my experiences of going to University in London :)
