About Joe

Over a decade ago I began performing and recording music as a guitarist, singer, songwriter and drummer. I enjoy teaching guitar and witnessing the progression of my students. I have 3 years experience in social care work with adults with learning disabilities, as well as experience assisting students with special educational needs, enabling me to offer specialist music sessions, for instance supporting young people with autism and ADHD to express themselves through learning guitar but also writing and recording their own music.

About the lesson

I am a patient and understanding person with experience teaching beginner and intermediate level guitar students as well as specialist sessions. I believe the lessons are effective because the atmosphere is one of fun and focus. The sessions are tailored for each individual according to their goals and stage of development. A session will begin by reviewing goals set at the end of last session, then focusing on supporting that progress, by offering expert knowledge on practice and technique and we end by agreeing on what to work on for next lesson. If grades are of interest I support students through to grade 8.
