About Dylan
I am a flute tutor with 12 years of experience and have taught 150–200 students of different ages and backgrounds. My passion for education grows stronger each year as I watch my students improve in both skill and confidence. A memorable milestone in my teaching journey was helping adult learners play their first complete song.
Many of them thought it was impossible at first. My approach to teaching includes patience, clear guidance, and a welcoming atmosphere. I believe that anyone can learn music with the right support, and I work to make every lesson enjoyable and encouraging.

My flute teaching method uses real-life examples and case studies to make learning meaningful. We talk about how professional flautists practise and how everyday breathing connects to tone. I motivate students by setting realistic goals and praising their efforts. When a student struggles, I guide them through problem-solving steps so they can fix issues with confidence.
Integrity is important, so I provide honest feedback while keeping a positive environment. I adjust lessons to different learning styles and can teach extra topics such as sight-reading, rhythm training, and music theory.
