About Krystal
If you are looking for an RN who checks all the boxes of what you’re looking for in a teacher or tutor, you have come to the right place. My name is Krystal Brown, I am an RN with my bachelor’s degree and am currently enrolled in the University of Southern Indiana’s Master’s in Nursing Education and Leadership program. I became a nurse in 2011 and have spent the last 13 years continuously experiencing, learning, and gaining skills in all aspects of what a successful Registered Nurse is known to be.
I have a great work ethic and I am always seeking ways to fill my time that are fulfilling and meaningful. I currently work as a school nurse for one of the top elementary schools in the state of Indiana, while also caring for 4 kids and owning and running a farm. Down time is just not my thing! I enjoy staying busy and helping others when I can. I strive to get the most out of life through positive thinking and hard work.
When I saw the posting for becoming a nursing tutor, I was ecstatic, and I am very eager to begin this journey with you!

I believe that the perfect teacher and tutor should have a strong background experience in a variety of nursing specialties, be one who is positive, friendly, patient, and understanding, be intelligent and constantly eager to learn new things, emit approachability and easy communication, and understand individual learning styles.
Thankfully, I check all of those boxes.
With my teaching experience, I understand the importance of assessing the individual needs of each student, as there is no "one size fits all" method of instruction. I keep in mind the student's current level of knowledge and I adjust my instruction to fit those needs.
Throughout my 13 years as a nurse, I have strived to become knowledgeable in as many aspects of the profession as I can. I have experience in teaching and nursing education, including clinical and classroom instruction in a healthcare program for students wanting to become nurses. I have worked and become successful in a variety of settings, including but not limited to: medical surgical, telemetry, emergency care, burn unit, cardiac, long-term care, pediatrics, community health, clinical, education, teaching, wellness, and more.
I currently have my bachelor’s degree, and am enrolled in the Master’s in Nursing Education and Leadership program at University of Southern Indiana.
