I am especially passionate about inclusivity and want to create a positive learning space for people of diverse backgrounds. Everyone learns in different ways. I use a diversity of teaching tools to reach every kind of learner. I focus on fundamentals, critical thinking, and applied skills to build strong foundations. This is not about memorization, but about applying what you learn for your future. I am prepared to teach flexible courses, from elementary school through university level. My specialties are in the sciences broadly, and more specifically: biology, anthropology, quantitative methods and experimental design, writing and communication skills, and much more.
A typical lesson plan will include 2 hours of preparation before each session, including viewing pre-recorded lectures, readings, and a quiz. During our sessions, we will review what you learned from the preparatory materials, give you time to ask your questions and gain directed clarifications, and in-class problem sets to strengthen your skills. After class, reflections on the lessons will solidify the learning objectives, and prepare you for what's ahead.

Details
Rates will partially depend on the level of the desired lessons. I have flexible lesson plans that can be tailored to meet your diverse needs. In general, each lesson will be 1-1.5 hours in duration, in addition to the 2 hours (maximum) of preparatory materials before each lesson. The number of lessons depends on the course and plan designed to meet your needs, but typically will include no fewer than 5 lessons, and up to 20 lessons for intensive courses. Typically, 2 sessions per week should be considered the minimum, and we can design intensive courses that meet more regularly to complete the full course in a shorter period.
Flexibility is key to a positive learning experience, and we will design the right lesson plan for you!
