About Thomas
I am a married man on retirement, formerly a Teacher, Adult Educator, Facilitator with more than 10 years of experience. I have acquired my MEd i(n Research and Labour) and a Certificate in Research Methodology from Wits University.
As a professional, I aim to create in my students a deep understanding of Research Methodology, built confidence in preparing a research proposal. I take great satisfaction in seeing my students achieve their full potential, hence, I am very excited to work in the capacity of Research Methodology Tutor. With my excellent spoken and written communication skills, and the ability to plan and impart practical and interesting lessons, I would be able to contribute significantly to the growth of students.

I offer Research Methodology, which covers broadly the following: Problem, Problem Statement, Purpose of the research, Research Design, Data Collection, Data Analysis, Report Writing.
My tutoring approach will vary depending on the student’s needs and learning style. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves. However, a hybrid model, designed to meet the needs of students by offering them a tailored mix of offline and online learning is the ideal approach. I am comfortable with one-to-one personal tuition and MS Teams digital platform, which allows for virtual learning access and guidance. Both approaches has a unique value to students and lays the foundations for a deep and lasting understanding of the subject. English is the medium instructions and hopes to attract students studying Honours and Masters Degree.
