About Fred
I have two degrees in law: an undergraduate one, like most lawyers, and a Master's in administrative law. I practised law in two of the very best firms in Canada for 40 years before hanging up my skates to actively teach and research. I have about 150 trials under my belt, most of which ended in a verdict! And the verdicts were successful -- for the most part!

Education: I have four university degrees, including a Master's in Administrative Law.
Experience: Before I retired, I was a civil litigator in both a large law firm and a boutique litigation firm in Toronto. That allowed me to draft motions and argue them regularly. As well, I have appeared before every level of court – including the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal –in Canada.
I have also taught law part-time at both community colleges and universities.

You’ll learn the material through the Case Method. This is the method in which students will read, brief, and analyze court cases and be expected to participate in classroom discussions surrounding those cases. We will use the same cases in your materials.
I facilitate this discussion through the Socratic Method approach, where you will be called upon to think – and come up with answers which show that. It is the same procedure you need to learn for arguments in trial and appellate cases. students
