About Jim
I have recently retired from the CRA, with over 30 years working in the Global High Wealth and Tax Avoidance audit programs. I have an in-depth knowledge of the income tax act, and teaching and mentoring was one of the most rewarding aspects of the job. I know how overwhelming the income tax act can be. It has been my experience that the best place to start the learning process is with a general conceptual understanding of the various provisions of the act. Whether you are a beginner and starting your income tax journey or are looking to expand your area of expertise in some of the more complex areas, I would love to help you get started. I am available in-person or virtually and can work around your schedule.

In my experience the best way to learn income tax is to start with a conceptual understanding of the various concepts and provisions in the income tax act and how they work together. Power point presentations are an effective way to present any topic in a logical progression that allows the learner to move at their own pace
