About Linda
As the Assistant Director then Director of an Upward Bound Program, I helped high school age youth prepare for secondary and postsecondary education. I advised and counseled participants through the entire college admissions process. This included but was not limited to; high school class selection to be on a college track, helping fill out college applications, and guiding and prompting the writing of quality entrance essays.

I approach the college entrance process by asking pointed questions to find out where a student is in their planning. I ask if they know how to get started, if they have/need a plan, I talk them through their own idea of what they might want to do after graduation. Basically, "What can I do for you? How can I help?" "This is what I have done for others, does this sound like something that would help you?"
