About Ed
I am a retired school division technology director. Prior to that I taught programming to high school students. A number of my students went on to study computer science in college. I have certificates in cybersecurity and am familiar with Linux as well as Windows operating systems. I like to code and have been writing code in C, C++, C#, and Java for years. I have recently written code in Visual Basic and Python. I am also proficient in HTML and am able to use WordPress for web design.

I am enthusiastic about my teaching. I am able to teach students as young as fifth grade using Small Basic and Kodu. From 7th grade up I can start with Visual Basic, Python, C, C++, C#, and Java. Small Basic, Kodu, Java and a community version of Visual Studio Software Development Kits are all available online for free downloads. I work on building success and confidence in my students no matter where they are starting. I am able to teach beginning courses at the college level.
