About TERESA
I am a retired special education teacher with primary experience at the elementary level in grades K-3. Before my retirement, I was placed in same school for 25 years. My students have been diagnosed with cognitive disabilities, autism and various physical disabilities.

Every child has an area in which they excel. Children are motivated to do their best when their area of expertise is identified and used to promote excellence.
My teaching approach begins with a brief assessment to determine where the student is performing academically. Instruction begins at performance level. Once the student's strengths and weaknesses are identified, an individualized lesson plan will be developed. Teaching strategies include a multi-sensory approach.
