About Matt
I have been working in schools for the past 5 years as a teaching assistant, during which time I have encouraged and motivated students with my enthusiasm for all things literary. I have had my writing published in a number of online and university print publications, have written satire for television, and have written hour-long shows for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe Festival. I am currently studying Creative Writing at RMIT University, where I have earned straight HDs.

My method of teaching has been noted for its optimism, enthusiasm, and passion. I utilise positive reinforcement and encourage creative expression, based on my belief that everyone learns best when they feel as though they are doing something they're good at. I emphasise curiousity and the pursuit of the things that most interest students while making gentle corrections to the practical elements of their work.
