About Sahitya
Sahitya Rajagopal started her musical journey at the age of 9 in Mumbai. Her love for music and piano was nurtured by her first teacher Ms Elizebeth Louis. Later after moving to Delhi she began training under Mr Ritesh Khokar. Under his training, she completed her Grade 8 from Trinity College London and ABRSM, UK. She has also had the opportunity to perform for international concert pianists like Raj Bhimani (USA), Raphael A Lustchevsky (Poland), Marialena Fernandes (University of Vienna), and Karl Lutchmayer (UK) in their master classes.
She has been teaching piano since 2017 as a private tutor, with A music institute and online.
She has completed her Graduation in Indian Classical Music from the Faculty of Music, Delhi University. She is also the disciple of the Dhrupad exponent, Padmashree Awardee- Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar.
Her own relationship with music led her to explore the discipline of music therapy and she completed her Post Graduate Diploma from the Chennai School of Music Therapy. She has worked with clients in different settings including a remote village in Uttarakhand and a hospital in Pondicherry. She graduated from Svaram Sound Experience, Auroville under their Integral Sonic Studies Practices course in Sound work.

Sahitya's piano classes are an amalgamation of musicality, basics of music theory, playing the piano, and varied genres. The classes shall help one create a good base and have the right skills and knowledge to step into higher levels of music. We learn to enjoy, appreciate and create music.
