About Alex
I am a professional copywriter for ad agencies and tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have had experience teaching a multitude of creative platforms, including music, photography, and graphic design, which helps me diversify my teaching repertoire in ways a traditional approach to academic writing does not provide. My focus is in teaching practical, audience/consumer-facing writing for use in a creative setting.

I am open to teaching anyone interested in creative writing below the graduate level of college. My teaching method includes assessing where you are in your writing journey, what your potential goals with writing may be, and academically deconstructing different examples of successful/unsuccessful writing in the real world to apply to your own writing toolkit. I am a big proponent of looking at pop culture and why certain shows/movies/books have appeal in the ways that they do.
