About Raquel
Teaching exists because helping others understand math is genuinely satisfying, especially when someone finally sees the logic behind a tough problem. My degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin helps me simplify complex topics like statistics, probability, and trigonometry for my 177 students. I work on SAT and ACT math prep, competition math prep, and conceptual learning to build a strong base.
Sometimes we focus on word problems or mental math to sharpen those instincts. Seeing a student connect those dots is the most enjoyable part of this work.

Struggling with word problems is common, though often just a matter of translating language into clear equations. Since I earned my BSc Mathematics, I have refined methods to explain trigonometry or statistics without unnecessary jargon.
We emphasize 6 years of experience in specialized competition math prep during our time together. I prioritize conceptual learning so the underlying logic becomes second nature to you. It feels rewarding to watch a student stop guessing and start calculating with total confidence. My own approach relies on precision to ensure your exam performance stays high.
