About Oscar

I am a patient and attentive tutor who listens carefully to each student’s needs. I have already led khôlles in France for international students through an association (Le Secours Catholique if you know), helping them build confidence and make real progress.

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to individual needs and goals. My priority is your progress. Lessons can take the form of: “Khôlles” (structured conversations on a specific topic, a method widely used in France to improve foreign language skills) Grammar or vocabulary practice Writing and comprehension exercises Confidence-building oral practice Before starting regular lessons, I offer a 30-minute first meeting to assess your level, understand your expectations, and set learning goals. Then, lessons can last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on your preference and availability. I am a third-year student at Sciences Po Paris (a top tier university in France) currently on a Law exchange at Trinity College Dublin with Bac with highest honors (French equivalent of A-levels with distinction) My lessons are for beginners discovering French for the first time as well as learners of all ages wanting to improve fluency, confidence :) My goal is to help each student and enjoy learning French :)

Deadly! Highly recommend Oscar for French lessons. He is a native French speaker with excellent English.

He has been great at lessons for multiple levels and stages - adult, child, beginner and upwards, and all purposes - school, conversational, formal, informal. (My sons are taking Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert French and I’m refreshing my memory of French for our holidays in France.)

Oscar is patient and good natured, and well priced for 60 and 90 minute lessons. He can teach from a specific text book but also has plenty of his own teaching resources to offer each week for greater flexibility.

My eldest son (LC) says he learns more in half an hour with Oscar than several weeks in class.

He tailors our lessons to whatever we might need or want, whether that’s for an upcoming exam or an upcoming trip to France. We all think he is great!
