About Amayra
I was in the same place as my students not too long ago, which allows me to truly understand the challenges, confusions, and pressures that come with studying psychology at the school level. Because of this, I don’t just teach the subject—I understand the student. I know what genuinely helps in learning, what often doesn’t, what to focus on, what can be simplified, and how to study smartly rather than excessively. As someone who scored 100/100 in Class 12 CBSE Psychology and is currently pursuing a Psychology major at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University, I am confident in my conceptual foundation. At the same time, I am still closely connected to the learning process myself. I am a student who is growing through psychology while also teaching it, and that balance helps me explain concepts in a way that feels current, relevant, and relatable. Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they are unsure about resources, exam expectations, or how to approach the subject. Since I have navigated this journey recently, I guide students using practical methods—sharing what worked for me, pointing out common mistakes I made, and helping them avoid unnecessary stress. Unlike traditional approaches, I am familiar with the tools, platforms, and study materials students are actually exposed to today. I believe that understanding a student is the first step to helping them understand a subject. My teaching style is friendly yet structured, encouraging students to ask questions freely and think critically rather than memorize blindly. Having tutored my peers over the years, I have developed a patient, supportive, and engaging approach to teaching. My goal is not just to help students score well, but to help them feel confident, comfortable, and genuinely interested in psychology. If students can understand concepts clearly now, they carry that clarity forward—not just into exams, but into real life as well.

Psychology is not a subject that can be memorized mechanically; it has to be understood and experienced. My teaching approach is based on explaining psychology the way we live it in real life—through conversations, emotions, behavior, and everyday situations. I teach as if I’m talking to a friend, because psychology makes the most sense when it feels like a natural discussion rather than a formal lecture. I use daily-life examples, relatable situations, and smart memory tricks that I personally used as a student. Since I studied psychology at the school level not too long ago and scored 100/100 in my Class 12 board exams, I know exactly where students struggle and how to simplify difficult concepts. I connect theories to students’ own lives—friendships, family dynamics, school stress, social media habits—so learning feels personal and easy to remember. A typical class begins with a short conversation, question, or real-life scenario, which leads into the core concept. Once the idea is clear, we move to the CBSE textbook language, key terms, diagrams, and answer-writing techniques. To ensure students don’t start revising only at the end of the session, I focus on active learning throughout the class. At the end of every class, I include short quizzes, interactive tests, and quick check-ins to assess understanding immediately. I also use leaderboards, small competitions, and fun challenges to keep students motivated and engaged. Whiteboards, visual explanations, and concept-mapping are regularly used so that learning remains dynamic rather than passive. What makes my teaching unique is that I act as a peer-mentor—someone students feel comfortable with, rather than intimidated by. I encourage questions, discussions, and curiosity. Having tutored my peers over the years, I’ve learned how to explain complex topics in a simple, friendly, and unforgettable way. My classes are designed for CBSE students of Classes 10, 11, and 12 who want strong conceptual clarity, better retention, and confidence in exams. As a current Psychology major at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University, I combine academic knowledge with an engaging, student-friendly teaching style to make psychology enjoyable and effective.
