About Charles
Folks keep asking how I handle the fretboard during open mics, so I started sharing what I know. My 13 years of experience on the road means I have seen just about every stage scenario possible. I spend my time working with kids, adults, and grade exam candidates who want to get real about their playing. Dealing with constant requests from fellow musicians actually taught me how to break down complex ideas.
Watching someone finally nail a difficult chord progression makes the whole process rewarding for me. I have helped countless students find their voice in the acoustic and blues tradition. It is a joy to pass along the techniques I picked up in the American South and Southwest.
