About Diya
Using my experience with helping out at children's daycares and preschools, I understand the specific needs of young children when it comes to effectively learning educational skills. I have taught children the basics of reading and writing, including how to properly pronounce words and form sentences. In addition, I'm a former swim instructor who was responsible for creating lesson plans and engaging with children of young ages. My job allowed me to form connections with the children in order to gain a sense of trust and to make sure they were learning the skills they needed for the future.

I am skilled in knowing how to keep a child engaged in what they're learning, and prevent easy distractions. A typical lesson plan would consist of a warm up for the child to initially get thinking, such as having to read a challenging passage, or having to creatively write something based off of a picture, followed by any help needed. They would then be given more practice after seeing example questions answered by me, and would be able to ask as many questions as needed along the way. The lessons are mainly for children in Kindergarten-3rd grade, but can be slightly adjusted. My main goal is to help the child based on their own specific needs, and to teach them in ways that are most effective to their personalities.
