About Esme
I have a strong passion for storytelling and the way it reflects and interacts with the world around us. I'm interested in the way that people think, and how structures of society function. This is all illuminated best, in my opinion, in the media that we create. Whether academic writing or a film about dinosaurs, it all says so much about how the world thinks, feels and acts!

I work closely with students to create a clear, understandable and approachable gateway into analysis of English Literature. I encourage the pupil to find their own way to logical conclusions about a text, guided by my input. As a Literature student, I am aware of many different literary traditions and how they work. My mother is an English Literature teacher at a school in London, so I have access to valuable resources and knowledge. I know, for example, the marking practices for A-Level, and how to achieve the highest grade boundaries, having personally done it myself.
