About Ava

I want to teach because I truly enjoy helping others understand something new and watching their confidence grow over time. I know that learning a language can sometimes feel challenging, so I aim to make my lessons clear, supportive, and encouraging. My goal is to help students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and discovering their own strengths as they learn. As both a learner and a teacher, I understand what it’s like to be on the other side — which is why I focus on explaining things in simple, easy-to-understand ways. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share what I’ve learned, meet new people, and hopefully inspire others to enjoy the process of learning languages as much as I do.

Hi! I’m Ava, a second-year university student offering personalised tutoring in English and Japanese. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their language skills through clear explanations, engaging lessons, and a friendly, supportive approach.

I focus on making learning easy to understand and enjoyable. I explain concepts in simple, relatable ways and adapt each lesson to match the student’s level and learning style. Whether it’s improving grammar, conversation, writing, or exam preparation, I guide students step-by-step so they can learn effectively and feel confident using the language.

As a university student studying Psychology and Japanese, I have strong language skills and an understanding of how to make complex ideas clear and approachable.

I teach intermediate and high school, as well as beginners who want to start learning English or Japanese from scratch. Whether you’re studying for school, preparing for exams, or learning for fun, I can help you reach your goals at your own pace.
