About Yvette
I am, quite frankly, an English fanatic. I have a true passion for the subject, and a desire to help others enjoy the subject rather than just doing it because they must. As I am quite a young tutor, I feel that I can connect with students on a friendlier, easier level, and my own recent experiences with these exams only help this.
I believe that everyone can succeed in this subject if given the means and motivation, and that it certainly helps the student when given lessons tailor-made to their needs.

Using my own resources, I aim to find concepts and techniques that the student is already familiar with to create a solid foundation, to be built on. I firmly believe that every student’s mind works differently, and that sometimes topics simply have to be looked at from a different perspective, or using alternative approaches.
As I achieved A’s in my Nat 5 and Higher English qualifications only a few years ago, I greatly understand the current courses, and also the stresses of these exams on young students.
