About Mae
Hi! I’m Mae, a first-year student at the University of London Institute in Paris studying International Politics and French. I achieved three 9s at GCSE and A* A B at A-level, with English always being my strongest and most enjoyable subject. I chose to tutor English because great teachers had a huge impact on my confidence and success at school, and I want to help other students achieve the same. Having recently completed my GCSEs and A-levels, I have a clear understanding of current exam boards, mark schemes, and what examiners are looking for in high-level answers.

My lessons focus on helping students improve both their understanding of texts and their exam technique. I support students with essay structure, developing strong analysis, learning key quotes and themes, and building clear, confident arguments. I also share practical exam strategies that helped me achieve top grades.
My sessions range from an hour to two hours.
