About Lauren
I have a real passion for English Literature and Language, and I’ve tutored many students both online and in person—helping them to grow in confidence, develop their skills, and reach their goals. Growing up in a neurodivergent family inspired me to make learning accessible for everyone. I believe every student can achieve their best with the right support, so my lessons are patient, encouraging, and tailored to individual needs. Whether we’re exploring a challenging text or refining exam technique, I aim to make learning both achievable and enjoyable.

With over four years’ experience teaching English Literature and Language full-time, I help students at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level break down complex texts, develop strong writing skills, and approach exams with confidence. I am experienced in supporting learners with a range of Special Educational Needs, ensuring lessons are adapted, accessible, and encouraging so every student can thrive. Since 2016, I have also provided clear, constructive proofreading and editing for English, Sociology, and History coursework up to degree level—helping students refine their ideas, strengthen their arguments, and present their work with clarity and polish. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or simply want to feel more confident in your studies, I offer patient, personalised support that brings out your best.
