About Ashley
I am highly qualified for this position as I have been trained and certified by the AP College Board to teach AP
English Literature and Composition and I have submitted my syllabus, which has been approved by the board. I have earned a Bachelor of Education Degree specializing in Secondary Humanities, a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a
Major in English Literature, and a Certificate in Professional Communication. Furthermore, I have completed several
English and Indigenous courses at the University of the Fraser Valley. This includes specialized courses in Canadian,
B.C., World, and Renaissance literature, Stó꞉lō History, British Romanticism, Shakespeare, and more.

In addition to teaching this year’s AP English 12, EFP 12, and EFP 11 classes, I teach with an emphasis on writing, reading, oral
communication, and an application of skills. In my classroom, students study a variety of novels, plays, and poetry. They engage in
individual and group work, essays, creative projects, presentations, class activities, inquiry projects, skits, debates,
Socratic seminars, and more.
