About Gwillym
I am Gwillym. The name is complicated, but the lessons aren't. I am 39 years old, and I have been self-taught since I was 18. I practically live with my guitar hanging from my neck. Music inspires me and keeps me motivated in life, and I believe it can do the same for you. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to be yourself and play to your heart's content

Having taught myself since 18 years old, learning through exploration and experimentation, I have developed a wide range of styles, including classical, jazz, punk, metal, and flamenco.
I believe in education through exploration, with no rigid framework, instead having the framework being a clay that we can mold together, in either English or Afrikaans.
Lessons will be a mix of theory and practical, as I believe the best way to master something is to put the theory into practice at the same time. This will be done at a pace that suits you. If you need to revisit a certain topic or need me to repeat a few times, do not hesitate to ask.
If you're a beginner, or wanting to learn for the first time, in a judgment free safe space, let's get together and jam!
