About Finn

I am an aspiring musician who writes their own songs and spends all day obsessing over music and would like to spread my love for music to the rest of the world. Had a lot of fun teaching my friends and peers about music and would love to continue doing so with whoever I teach in the future.

About the lesson

Two formats, depending on the student, once the basics have been learnt.

1. A student who is aware of the sort of music they want to play. Once identified, we can break down everything involved to the most basic level and slowly build their way to be able to make the music of their dreams!

2. A student who simply wants to progress through standard piano repotoire and be familiar with all foundational piano styles such as Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist ect.

Eitherway lessons will always enforce foundational skills in order to give them the self sufficiency to be able to explore what they find interesting.

Deadly! Finn has a very different approach to teaching than the average tutor. He has a very easy going method of teaching that I think people will find very accessible. He also has an honest persona and acknowledges that he isn't a licenced piano teacher, which therefore in my opinion, allows beginners to feel greatly inspired and enthused to continue learning. I'm thrilled to continue learning with him!

Jacob was extremely attentive during his lesson, and had the humility to explore his weaknesses and what he did not know. He was willing to keep trying no matter how many times it may take to be able to execute what he was taught. A very good student overall.

Deadly! Finn is very friendly and shows real passion for piano and improvisation. If you not only want to learn but also learn to love the instrument, I think Finn is great for that and would recommend him highly to anyone.
