About Charlotte
Hi, I'm Charlotte - a specialist in Additional Needs and Disabilities with a deep belief in the power of creativity, connection and care in education. I've worked with children and young people in a range of settings, from early years to secondary, supporting learners with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, mental health needs, trauma and complex educational barriers. I'm currently completing postgraduate study in Education: Teaching, Assessment and Pedagogy, and I bring both lived experience and professional training to every session I deliver. I became a tutor because I've seen firsthand how many children are left behind by mainstream approaches. I wanted to create a space where learners feel seen, safe and capable - where they can learn in a way that works for them, at a pace that honours their unique strengths. Building confidence is at the heart of what I do. Whether I'm helping a child read their first full page, work through anxiety around school or explore learning through art and movement, I tailor everything to the individual, not just a lesson. If you are looking for someone who will meet your child with patience, understanding and a personalised approach, I would love to help.

As a 1st class degree-level specialist in Additional Needs and Disabilities, I offer calm, creative and trauma-informed tutoring for children and young people who may not thrive in traditional classroom environments. My lessons are fully personalised - designed to support each learner's confidence, emotional well-being and academic progress. I use a range of multi-sensory, visual, and creative teaching techniques to make learning accessible and engaging, including: - Visual prompts and scaffolds - Games and movement-based activities - Creative storytelling and arts-based learning - Calm breathing or sensory breaks when needed Each lesson is shaped around the child's pace, interests and needs. I encourage a collaborative, low-pressure environment where learners feel safe to explore and make mistakes. Whether we're building basic literacy skills, supporting executive functioning (like organisation or focus) or developing emotional literacy, my approach is nurturing and neurodiversity-affirming.
