About Donald
As an established senior artist, I have been blessed with a vibrant career in the fine & performing arts as a musician, singer/songwriter, actor, modern dancer, filmmaker and playwright. From creating a radio play for a Native Theatre Company and local community radio station, to a lead role in a French Film, producing experimental feature length films, and tours in Europe, Canada , and Japan, I would like to share my talents to the next generation of artists.

My teaching methods come from my former professors, instructors, mentors from University, training programs, and my experience teaching since 1982. Examples include Acting /Directing workshops, media and professional development semesters, as well as semesters in film and camera, lighting techniques. Depending on the discipline, we always start with the basics, brief history of the art form. With acting and related disciplines, it is always starting from the breath, and the body. Creating trust, and allowing the breath to feed the actor. Starting with relaxation work, the breath, I would then instruct the student to allow the breath to inform the movement of the body. For music, learning the basic chords, and start improvising ones voice with the instrument. then use numbers, and then words. And with film, create a collage from found material, no sound, then add sound and so on, Lots of fun but discipline is required
