About Samantha
I have been tutoring at the UMASS Writing Center for 2 years now and absolutely love supporting other writers in developing new skills and in starting or revising pieces of writing. I think writing can serve as a tool of empowerment for anyone and am excited to support others in developing an interest or love for writing too, if that’s not something they already hold.

I am really passionate about all forms of writing, and reading as well. My instructional practices are grounded in social justice frameworks that aim to be inclusive of various learning and writing styles, languages, and structures. I am capable of tutoring writers from elementary school through adulthood and am confident that I can support others with most genres and kinds of writing.
