About Alexa
I've tutored for two years, once with a middle schooler in math for a year, and I currently am working with a student to prepare for the SAT and ACT. I am a senior at Cary Academy, and I have experience with both the SAT and ACT (1500 out of 1520 on PSAT, and 36 on ACT).

I personalize lessons, first requiring my students to take a practice test so I can customize the lessons on what they need to study. I will often also ask for additional practice outside our meetings to improve quicker and more efficiently. Every lesson, I will teach a concept, then provide practice problems to check understanding, and then review the problems. These lessons are for rising juniors and sophomores who are looking to prepare for standardized testing with someone who tested recently and knows the ins and outs of the tests.
