About Sara
My biggest philosophy is, "There is nothing more profound than creating something out of nothing". This quote, said by Rainbow Rowell, has been one I have abided by ever since I could remember. With this in mind, plus the belief that our future is collaborative, and in our hands, I am a strong believer we are making humanity a more humane place for us all. Me expressing my love for reading and writing, all of my passions encompassed into one, is the way I collaborate with the future, and the way I add my two grains of sand to the mountain climb we call life -or school, haha! I adore helping students see it in themselves and reach their potential as readers and writers in this world. I thrive in having book talks, analyzing and revising essays, and showing someone how easy it is to find our truths in the great works of literature. Developing writing styles, and strengthening reading retention, are just perks of the fun of studying in this field. And hopefully, something I help you do too, if you allow me. One of my favorite things in this world is actually learning. But just as much as I do enjoy learning, I also enjoy making learning fun. I have always enjoyed teaching, reviewing, and teamwork. I will not be providing a lecture unless asked though. I will be providing something genuine, something as easy and interesting as getting coffee or tea with a friend. Cheers to our future, I am honored to help you!

Good day! Hi, I am Sara! I am a South Texas native aiming to finalize my career as a senior at one of the Universities of Texas very soon. My major is composition and rhetoric, which deals hand in hand with reading and writing, the courses I will have the pleasure to expand on with y'all! I have been tutoring since 2019 a wide range of students from younger elementary Spanish-speaking children to incoming freshmen in high school, and finally incoming freshmen in the university setting. Anything from reading and strengthening analyzing in-depth concepts to essay writing, book analyses, and book talks, are what I am passionate about. I started tutoring in a program/ organization I helped found as a high school senior where we worked on strengthening reading retention skills and essay writing for incoming freshmen in need of additional assistance in their English PREAP courses. Since then, I have only gone up in the level of advanced composition writing and reading. I believe the future is collaborative, and I strongly believe that I can provide my two grains of sand in making a more humane and educative future, by allowing my potential as a tutor to bloom. I love helping students become true to their writing, develop writing styles, and become the readers and writers our future needs. I enjoy learning, and just as much as I enjoy learning, I enjoy making learning fun. I will not be providing a lecture, I will be providing something genuine, something as easy and interesting as getting coffee or tea with a friend. cheers to our future, I am honored to help you!

Sara is the most kind, honorable teacher. You can tell she legitimately cares about her students' progress and that she is passionate about what she does. She explains things clearly and concisely, and is always a major help. ESL-wise, she has a strong grammatical basis in both Spanish and English, and she can truly appreciate the beauty of both languages. I have repeatedly gone to Sara for help on my philosophy papers, which is not something most English tutors are trained to deal with. I grow with every gram of guidance she gives me.
I worked with Sara at the UTRGV Writing Center as an embedded tutor! Sara is an amazing and incredibly understanding person, she learns her students learning styles to help them better. I recommend Sara because she is so smart, kind and will support her students learning 100%!
