About Martina
With 20 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have taught students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I believe that every student is unique, and my teaching philosophy focuses on tailoring lessons to match each individual’s strengths, challenges, and goals. I emphasise technical mastery, music reading, sight-reading, and performance skills while preparing students for recitals, competitions, and concerts.
Over 200 students have learnt under my guidance, many achieving success and confidence on stage. I strive to make every lesson engaging, structured, and inspiring, combining discipline with creativity to ensure steady progress.

My teaching methodology is built on compassion, patience, and clear communication. I aim to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel motivated to learn and explore the violin. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to individual pace, style, and goals, making each session enjoyable and productive.
I provide step-by-step explanations, demonstrations, and interactive exercises, breaking down complex techniques and musical concepts into simple, understandable steps. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate actively, and explore their creativity, which helps build both technical skills and musical expression.
Being supportive is central to my approach. I celebrate achievements, provide constructive guidance, and help students navigate challenges with patience and encouragement. Lessons balance technical practice, creative exploration, and personal growth, fostering independence, confidence, and a deep appreciation for music.
In addition to violin, I teach other subjects with the same compassionate and communicative methodology, aiming to inspire curiosity, skill, and a lifelong love of learning.
