About Lily

Lily is a professional singer and music tutor, holding an MMus Musicology from King’s College London and a First Class Honours degree in Music (Vocal Performance) from Leeds Conservatoire.

Lily Day Scott is a vocalist from South-East London. Her strong and versatile voice has lead her to working as a vocalist for live performances and album recordings.

Most recently, she has worked as a backing vocalist in studio sessions and major festivals for artists such as Wolf Alice, Russell Watson, Alfie Boe, Aled Jones, Orlando Weeks (The Maccabees) Charlotte Church, Shingai, Joel Culpepper, Paloma Faith and Nadine Coyle. She has sung for a number of high-profile events with artists including Sisters Grimm, Katrina and the Waves and Basement Jaxx.

Lily has sung the National Anthem, for The FA at Wembley Stadium (broadcast live on BT Sport), England Ruby at Sandy Park Exeter, (broadcast live on BBC 2), for England Netball and The Big Fight UK.

She has been performing professionally with live bands and orchestras for 10 years. She has performed as a soloist with the orchestra of the English National Ballet, London Musical Theatre Orchestra and the Wilderness Orchestra.

She has performed live at a variety of renowned venues and festivals internationally, such as the Natural History Museum, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Windsor Castle, The Globe Theatre, The Union Chapel, Operaestate Festival Veneto Italia, Wilderness Festival, Bestival, Sink The Pink, London PRIDE and British Summer Time Hyde Park. She appeared as a vocalist at the BAFTA Awards in 2019.

Lily has performed at international events for elite clients such as The Dorchester, Selfridges, Hunter, Kurt Geiger, JP Morgan, Deloitte, Klarna, Jim Beam, Universal Music, Hospital Club, Ministry of Sound and London Fashion Week. She has performed at a number of London’s most prestigious locations such as The Corinthia, Claridges and The Savoy.

In addition to live vocals, Lily has provided vocals for various Radio campaigns including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 3 and Capital FM, pop track demos for artists represented by Modest! Management and is a session vocalist for Luna Rossa Productions.

Alongside her performing career, Lily has worked extensively in school environments, as a singing tutor, assistant musical director and animateur for school productions and outreach projects and has lead musical workshops for children with special educational needs and in hospitals and care homes. Most recently, she has been trained on the Music Facilitation Course with English National Opera and Royal Opera House.

Lily has given academic presentations at student conferences as part of her MMus on the music of George Gershwin, Deaf Performance in Contemporary Music and Nostalgia for Musical Femininity in Screen Adaptations of Jane Austen Novels.

As an experienced and active professional performer and musicologist, Lily is able to offer music tuition from the perspective of an active performer with a solid academic insight. Lessons will be geared towards exactly what you want to get out of them - whether you want to sing for fun or prepare for singing and music exams, you will always receive a lesson tailored to your individual requirements and needs. Lily is committed to ensuring that you maintain excellent vocal health and know how to look after your voice so that you will always achieve optimum results.

Lily is a member of the British Voice Association, Association of Teachers of Singing and the Musician's Union.
