About Dana
I am an A level student studying; Biology, psychology and English literature. Back at school, I used to read with children in year 8, so, I would say that I work really well with children and this would be a great way of me spending my time wisely.

I have not ever taught before but I would firstly start of by greeting my students then explaining what we have to get through. I would then let them work independently (they can always talk to me if they ever need help) then I would stop them after a period of time and go through the work. Not only this, but I would also do group work just to keep them engaged and so that they don’t feel bored.
In reference to reading, I would allow the child to choose a book to read then I would allow them to start reading however, once I know what level they are at, I would then encourage them to read slightly harder books to boost them so that they are confident in pronouncing words that may seem difficult.
