About Mikkel
I am a passionate piano tutor with over 13+ years of teaching experience, working with school students, college learners, and working professionals. I believe that learning piano should be simple, enjoyable, and meaningful. My teaching approach focuses on clear communication, patience, and understanding each student’s goals. I design lessons based on their level and help them progress step by step.
I focus on building strong basics like finger technique, rhythm, and note reading before moving to advanced skills. Along with piano, I also teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm practice, which help students understand music deeply. My strength is simplifying complex concepts and making learning stress-free.
I guide students to build confidence, maintain consistency, and develop effective practice habits. I aim to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning. My goal is to help students enjoy piano and grow in their musical journey.

My teaching methodology emphasises engaging, creative, and adaptive learning. I believe piano education should inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music. Through open communication, I understand each student’s goals, challenges, and learning preferences, allowing me to create lessons that are personalised, motivating, and effective.
Creativity is central to my approach. Students are encouraged to experiment, improvise, and compose original music, fostering artistic expression and building confidence. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, level, and learning style, making progress steady, enjoyable, and rewarding.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This holistic methodology develops technical mastery, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My goal is to help students become confident, creative, and lifelong musicians who enjoy exploring and performing music.
