About Dorothea

I have taught English for over 20 years.
My main focus is on grammar and sentence structure.
I have taught in Comprehensive Schools, Language Schools, Banks and the Private sector. I help school student with their homework and learning for tests. Our kids hate vocabulary tests but I have a method that is fun and takes the sting out of these tedious lists.
I offer proof reading, all types of documents and German to English translations.
Fed up with conventional methods, boring lesson plans?
Learning a language can be fun. You can choose the topics, or I use every day themes and/or articles. I will teach you the vocabulary and verbs and we will have lessons with laughter.
I also focus on the negatives, ie I don’t want you to be bored. You didn’t do your homework? You will not get lunch until your homework is done.
New in the country? Need help with daily English expressions and words? Then let’s go for a walk or shopping or indeed visits to the local authorities to sort out the paperwork. Remember, I have lived in 4 countries, been there ! done that ! AND I have just recently moved back to Australia from Germany.
Got a University paper that needs help? Or an important legal document to seal a deal ? Want to write to someone in a English speaking country . Let me help you. I can even help you translate your favorite song.
