About Jane
Hi! I’m someone who enjoys helping others become more confident communicating in Mandarin. I know that speaking Chinese can feel intimidating at first, so I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable practicing and making mistakes.
As I begin my tutoring journey, I’m excited to support learners who want to improve their speaking confidence and everyday conversational Mandarin. My goal is to make learning Chinese more approachable and help students gradually become more comfortable using the language in real-life situations.

• My lessons focus on conversational Mandarin, pronunciation and speaking confidence, helping students communicate more naturally in everyday situations.
• Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be customised based on each student’s goals, whether for school oral practice, daily conversation or improving fluency.
• I am an SMU graduate with strong Chinese foundations, including Chinese A1 with Oral Distinction at O-Levels and 4th place in the National Chinese On-The-Spot Essay Writing Competition.
• Lessons are suitable for students, international learners and families in Singapore who want to improve their conversational Mandarin and feel more confident speaking Chinese.
