About Haya
English and Film Studies as subjects and concepts are entirely underrated and usually sidelined. I enjoy helping people as much as I can in any way I can and teaching brings my joy as I enjoy working with students to help them engage in their learning and unlock their passions. I've always had a love for languages and literature, I come from Egypt and as well as English, Arabic is my native language and it comes with so much beauty. I want to demonstrate the importance of subjects like English and Film Studies and to highlight how students should realise the importance of freedom of expression and thought through these wonderful mediums.

The typical length of my lessons are 1-2 hours. I enjoy tutoring and demonstrating the importance of English and Literature, as well as the importance of subjects like Film Studies for expression. The lessons are typically for primary school level however I can also tutor for A Level students. I have tutored during my A Levels and whilst I was in year 10 as part of my MYP IB programme. I like to cater to all students based on their comfortability and types of learning they find most engaging (whether through writing, visuals, speaking etc). I try to create creative lesson plans for students to be as engaged as possible and find learning fun! I am still in my second year at university and finished my A Levels only a year and a half ago so I am aware of what types of learning students enjoy engaging in.
