About Nuha

I am a Fourth year Social Work Student at Ryerson University and have 5 years of university experience. Before transferring into the Social Work Program, I was enrolled in the Bachelors of Arts Program at MacEwan University, where I took a range of liberal arts courses including English, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work.

I have learnt valuable skills related to reading, writing, research, essay writing, test prep, grammar, and more. I have also gained student skills related to note taking, organization, time management, etc. In addition to this, I have both the lived experience and the academic background to assist in other life skills such as mentorship and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and awareness, and communication skills.

I have always enjoyed being able to support others in their academic success, and so I am happy to be broadening my range of who I can support through working with clients on this platform.

I also have 6+ years of experience in client services that all relate to supporting others in a plethora of ways. The support I have provided ranges from assisting clients in supporting their wellness through natural products and skin care. I am also passionate about social justice issues and advocacy related to women's issues, the criminal justice system, mental health and overall wellness. My side passions include being a skin care consultant, a makeup artist, and a visual artist (painting, drawing, etc.)

About the lesson

As a social worker, I have learnt how to be adaptable to a clients' needs in order to support the most success possible. I prefer a hybrid and collaborative style of teaching, whereby I can collaborate and meet the student in the ways they best receive support. I also enjoy a demonstrator style of teaching, where I am able to use verbal explanations and visual examples to help with understanding.

If a client is open to any form of teaching or would prefer for me to delegate the method, then my natural teaching style is inquiry based instruction and providing narrative explanations along with examples.

All in all I am happy and open minded to support the client in the way that is conducive to their learning needs.
