About Jake
I teach general skills about social work, counselling, and social justice. I have 2 bachelor degrees, a masters, and will be completing a doctor of social work in the next few years. I am happy to provide structured or unstructured lessons relating to every subject within an Australian recognised Social Work degree or related, including community services, mental health, AOD, youth work, counselling at certificate III (3), IV (4), and diploma level. I have worked in the sector since 2012 and am recognised by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I love to talk about justice orientated frameworks, strengths-based social work, and therapeutic counselling skills.

I can review written work for assignment and give honest feedback, conduct role plays, and explain the theory behind the practice. Lessons can be as long as required however given the content would be best suited to 1 to 2 hours at a time.
