About David
I'm currently a Software Engineer at Apple, having previously worked in a range of businesses from small start-ups to larger companies such as Lyft. I've been an engineer for the better part of the last decade, during that time have focused on building up skills in:

- macOS development
- Web/server development
I have a Masters degree from the University of Nottingham, where I graduated with first-class honours, and won an award for writing the best dissertation of my cohort.

I'm looking to help secondary school pupils, university students, or anyone who is just curious, learn the art of computer programming. In our first lesson I'll gauge what you're interests are, if you want to specialise in a particular area (e.g. iOS or server-side).
One of the most important aspects of computer-science is problem solving, and so to gauge your current ability (in the language of your choice) we'll go through examples together that become progressively more complex.
Once we've reached a certain level of proficiency in your chosen languages we can begin to move on to "specialities". One of the most popular I teach is iOS development. With your new programming skills we can get stuck in and work on creating your first iOS app, website, or setting up a server.
