About Marcella
I have tutored French since I was 18 intermittently throughout my undergraduate and graduate education. I have taught many students how to read and write as well as speak conversationally in French. I focus on grammar, phonetics, prononciation, and mostly jokes.

I have completed my Master's in comparative literature at Paris IV Sorbonne this July. Although growing up with a francophone parent, I have become fluent in French through the 5 years I spent in France. With 9 years of experience in tutoring I have taught young children, teens as well as adults. The methodolgy differs between the ages and personalities. For children, I use song, theater and drawing methods along with a base dialectical exchange which is at the heart of language. For adolescents and adults, beyond basic conversational skills that focus on pronunciation, I try to focus on literature, which is the historical vehicle of language and culture.
