About Siphiwe

I have an honors degree in South African Sign Language and Deaf Studies (UFS), I also hold a BA psychology and Sign Language degree (UFS), a higher certificate in the Humanities (UFS), and I am a Golden Key member. I am very passionate about sign language, I'm an active member of the Deaf community.

About the lesson

With sign language I will first teach the basics the alphabets (A-Z),
Then move to the basic
Signs, how to greet, how to approach a Deaf person etc.
Then move over to the structure of South African Sign Language. (SASL)

Deadly! Siphiwe is an excellent tutor. She is extremely helpful if you’re looking for a person to understand SASL. She’s very proactive with school assignments and makes sure to gently clarify areas where one may have gone wrong. Because of her, I am confident that my marks in my final SASL exams are going to improve. I would highly recommend her services!.

Deadly! Siphiwe is a kind, thoughtful and thorough teacher. She is very patient and breaks down SASL into very easy parts for people only just beginning to get the feel for the language. I'm really excited to be working with her.

I know Siphiwe on a personal level. We used to attend the same lectures. Having her as your tutor will not only help you be an effective and fluent sign language individual but her patience and tolerance will rub on you. You will also be eager to share the knowledge you have with others. She is good at sign language and very patient when teaching. She does not give up on you until you know and understand. I would greatly recommend her if you want to learn South African sign language.
