About Liz
I’m a software engineer at Google and a proud graduate of Princeton University, where I developed a strong foundation in both technical problem-solving and clear communication. I’m fluent in English and Spanish, and I’m passionate about learning across disciplines—from programming and data science to languages and education. Teaching has always been one of my greatest joys!

*I focus on clarity, repetition, and application:* - I break complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. - I use active recall and spaced repetition to help with retention. - I integrate real-life examples, analogies, and practice problems to solidify understanding. - I regularly check for understanding, using questions and short reviews before advancing. *A standard 60-minute session might look like this:* 5 min – Check-in: Quick review of the student’s goals and last session. 15 min – Concept Overview: Teach the topic with clear explanations and examples. 25 min – Guided Practice: Work through problems together, offering hints and strategy guidance. 10 min – Independent Practice: Student solves problems while I observe and give feedback. 5 min – Wrap-up: Summary of key takeaways and preview of the next topic. Homework or optional follow-up resources may be provided depending on the student’s needs. *What Sets Me Apart* Empathy & Encouragement: I understand that learning can be frustrating, especially in subjects like math, writing, or a foreign language. I always meet students where they are and celebrate small wins. Adaptability: I quickly identify what works for each student and adjust my approach. No two lessons look exactly the same. Experience: As a Princeton graduate, I bring both subject expertise and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed academically at a high level. *Who the Lessons Are For* My lessons are designed for: - Middle school to college-level students and adult professionals! - English and Spanish language learners (conversation, writing, vocabulary) - Students preparing for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, TOEFL) - International professionals practicing business English/Spanish or presentations
