About Paolo

Hola! My name is Paolo, I am from Mexico and have been living in Brazil for 10 years. During this time, I have taught at language schools and given private lessons to students of all ages and interests: children, teenagers, and adults, students, professionals, and companies. I offer in-home and online classes for all levels and needs; exam and competition preparation, DELE, business communication, professional training, or just for the pleasure of learning the beautiful Spanish language.

My professional background is in Social Anthropology, and my interest in Latin American culture and linguistic diversity led me to study and learn more about the richness of Spanish on our continent. I have taken courses in methodology and didactics for teaching Spanish as a foreign language and have worked on research projects in linguistic anthropology. I also have experience in translation from English and Portuguese into Spanish, consulting in dubbing, and editing academic and journalistic texts.

About the lesson

In my classes, I offer a variety of teaching activities tailored to the student's interests, using materials and practical exercises in writing, reading, comprehension of texts, audio, music, videos, and conversations to work on both written and spoken language.

I always seek to develop participatory and interactive dynamics with the student, through conversations on topics of interest and a wide range of audiovisual resources that support the learning process. My experience learning other languages has helped me discover the key points to becoming fluent in Spanish, working on the specific difficulties of each student with pronunciation exercises to improve their accent and increase their confidence for a real conversation.

If you need to learn Spanish for a job interview or a trip, the classes will focus more on practicing everyday expressions, specific vocabulary, and listening comprehension. If you want to delve deeper into writing and the correct use of the language, we will work more with written exercises and grammar/spelling structure.
