About Sela
I hold a B.A. in Spanish Linguistics and Latin American Studies and have 8 years of experience teaching Spanish to students across various proficiency levels. My approach integrates grammar, vocabulary, and conversational practice with cultural exploration, helping learners develop fluency, accuracy, and appreciation for Spanish-speaking communities. I emphasize creating an engaging, encouraging environment that motivates learners to explore language actively and confidently. I design lessons with dialogues, roleplay, grammar exercises, reading and writing tasks, and cultural discussions. Feedback is personalized, detailed, and constructive, supporting both language development and communicative confidence. Lessons are tailored to students’ goals, learning styles, and levels. Outside teaching, I engage with Spanish literature, media, and contemporary cultural practices to enrich lessons with authentic material. Teaching Spanish is deeply rewarding because I witness students gain fluency, cultural insight, and confidence.
