About Favor
I’m a Spanish speaker who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and sharing my language and culture. I want to teach because I find it incredibly rewarding to see someone go from struggling to express themselves to speaking Spanish with confidence. I love creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and improving at their own pace. For me, teaching isn’t just about grammar and vocabulary, it’s about helping people discover that they’re capable of communicating in another language and giving them the confidence to actually use it in real life.

My approach to private tutoring is calm, patient, and highly personalised while still being focused on getting you real results.
As a native Spanish speaker, I want my students to learn Spanish as it is actually spoken: naturally, confidently, and with the expressions, pronunciation, rhythm, and cultural nuances that you won’t always find in a textbook. I therefore use a full-immersion approach, meaning that I conduct most of our lessons in Spanish from the beginning. However, I understand that everyone learns differently, and I will always adapt to your level. If something is too difficult, I’ll slow down, explain it differently, or use English when necessary. The goal is to challenge you without making you feel overwhelmed.
I believe that you learn a language by actually using it, not just by memorising rules. That’s why my lessons are interactive and give you plenty of opportunities to speak, listen, ask questions, make mistakes, and build the confidence to communicate naturally. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes because they are an essential part of learning. My job is to correct them in a constructive way and help you understand how to improve.
At the same time, I’m very attentive to detail. I’ll pick up on the small grammatical mistakes, pronunciation habits, awkward phrases, and areas where you can sound more natural. I’m patient when you need patience, but I’ll also push you when I know you’re capable of more. You won’t simply be told that you’re doing well, you’ll be given the guidance and correction you need to genuinely improve.
No two students are the same, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Before and throughout our lessons, I’ll take into account your current level, goals, interests, learning style, and areas you find challenging. Whether you want to become conversational, improve your grammar, prepare for an exam, feel more confident speaking, learn Spanish for travel or work, or simply take your existing Spanish to the next level, our lessons will be built around you.
Lessons are [30/45/60/90] minutes, with 60 minutes being my recommended duration for most students. This gives us enough time to practise speaking, work on specific areas, introduce new material, and consolidate what you’ve learned without the lesson feeling rushed.
As a Spanish tutor with over 8 years of experience teaching students. My experience has taught me that becoming a good Spanish speaker isn’t about being naturally “good at languages”, it’s about having the right guidance, consistent practice, and a teacher who understands how to meet you where you are.
My lessons are suitable for people of all levels, from complete beginners who are starting from zero to advanced learners who want to refine their fluency and sound more natural. You don’t need to already know Spanish, and you don’t need to be afraid of making mistakes.
I also have a lot of experience teaching and coaching students who are taking their GCSEs and A levels in Spanish into the top grades.
My goal is simple: for you to leave every lesson feeling more confident than when you arrived, while knowing that you’re making measurable progress towards becoming a natural, independent Spanish speaker.
