About Marta

Hi everyone,

My name is Marta and I studied Primary Education in the University of Barcelona specializing in teaching English as a foreign language. During my degree, I worked in different high schools of the city helping students to prepare for their exams and do their homework and volunteered in some educational entities to help the more disadvantaged students succeed in their studies.
After finishing my degree, I moved to the United Kingdom and taught Spanish for 4 years in different Secondary schools of the North-East in KS3 and KS4 up to GCSE level meeting different students' needs, abilities and backgrounds and developing and putting in practice several teaching methodologies to teach Spanish as a foreign language to be competent in the skills of writing, reading, speaking and listening.
I am an experienced and motivated language teacher. I am really looking forward to help you improve your Spanish skills or to prepare you for a specific exam qualification.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is based on what you want to achieve from taking Spanish lessons. I can prepare you for a specific exam, such as GCSE or A level or improve your Spanish in all or any specific skills you would like to improve such as writing, speaking, reading and listening.

If you want to improve your communication skills in a formal or an informal conversation, I will propose different day to day situations to practice real and significant questions and answers applicable to real life making sure that you know the necessary vocabulary to do that.
If you want to improve your writing, listening and reading skills, I will prepare a combination of different types of activities to challenge you and to learn while having fun. All activities will prepare you to achieve the main goal of the lesson so that you can feel you made progress and you were challenged!
