About Amelie
I'm student at the University of Leeds, and I've lived in the UK since 2019. I grew up in Barcelona, Spain, and lived there from the ages of 1-15 so I am a very confident native speaker.
I have completed both French and Spanish GCSEs and obtained a 9 in both of these, allowing me to become very familiar with the AQA modern foreign language GCSE assessments.
I am friendly, chatty, and looking forward to teaching others my first language!

For GCSE, my lessons consist in covering topic vocabulary and grammar through interactive activities, and then applying this knowledge in contextual writing and speaking tasks. I tend to focus on speaking and conversational tasks to build confidence. However, if you would like to focus on any particular area, I can adapt my lessons to meet any of your needs!
I also provide Spanish conversation lessons for students of any level. In these lessons I usually cover a different topic area each lesson, practising the use of vocabulary and expressions often used by natives, which will provide you with a strong foundation to speak to native Spanish speakers anywhere in the world!

I was recommended Amelie by a family friend to help with my daughter as she prepares for exams next year, mainly with Maths. She's been an excellent tutor, dealing with all the weak areas she felt she had and giving her more confidence in the subject overall.
